Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the Horologion website at horolog.cyou and to any watch servicing or repair work carried out at our atelier located at 47 Sukhumvit Soi 31, Khlong Toei Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand.
By using this website or submitting a piece for servicing, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms. If you have questions, contact us at [email protected] before proceeding.
2. About Horologion
Horologion is a privately operated watch repair atelier. We offer quartz movement servicing, mechanical watch cleaning and lubrication, and strap, bracelet, and crystal refinishing to owners of personal timepieces. We are not affiliated with any watch manufacturer or authorised service network.
Our work is carried out by experienced craftspeople on an independent basis. Clients retain full ownership of their pieces throughout the service process.
3. Website Use
This website is provided for information purposes. You may use it to learn about our services, read our approach to watchmaking, and submit an enquiry through the contact form. You agree not to misuse the website, attempt to interfere with its operation, or submit false or misleading information through any form.
We make reasonable efforts to keep information on this website accurate and current. However, we do not warrant that every detail is complete or error-free at any given moment. Prices and service descriptions may be updated without prior notice.
4. Service Enquiries and Bookings
Submitting an enquiry through the contact form on this website does not constitute a binding service agreement. A service arrangement is established only when you bring your watch to the atelier and both parties agree in writing (or verbally, with written confirmation) on the scope of work and the associated cost.
We reserve the right to decline any piece for servicing at our discretion, for example where the required work falls outside our current capabilities or where the condition of the piece presents unacceptable risk.
5. Pricing and Payment
All prices displayed on this website are in Thai Baht (฿) and are inclusive of materials and labour for the described scope of work. Additional components — such as replacement crystals, gaskets, or specific straps not held in our catalogue — may incur additional cost and will be quoted before work proceeds.
Payment is made upon collection of the piece, by cash or bank transfer in Thai Baht. We do not accept card payments at this time. We do not require a deposit for standard services unless the estimated total exceeds ฿30,000, in which case a 30% advance may be requested.
6. Turnaround and Collection
We provide estimated turnaround times at the point of intake. These are indicative only. Delays may arise from the sourcing of parts, complexity discovered during disassembly, or workshop scheduling. We will inform you if an estimate changes materially.
Once your watch is ready, we will contact you by telephone or email. Pieces not collected within 60 days of notification may incur a storage fee of ฿200 per week, applied from day 61 onward. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before applying any such fee.
7. Care and Liability
We handle every piece entrusted to us with the same care we would apply to our own property. That said, vintage and heavily worn watches can present pre-existing conditions — hairline crystal fractures, worn crown threads, weakened mainsprings — that are not always visible before disassembly. We will inform you of any such discoveries during the service process.
Our liability in the event of loss or damage is limited to the independently assessed current market value of the piece. We do not accept liability for sentimental value, collector premiums, or consequential losses. We strongly recommend that clients maintain their own insurance for high-value pieces.
We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our control, including parts availability or force majeure events.
8. Warranty on Workmanship
We stand behind the workmanship on all completed services. If a fault attributable to our work appears within 90 days of collection, we will inspect and, where our work is found to be the cause, remedy it without additional charge for labour. This covers the specific service performed — it does not extend to unrelated components or to deterioration caused by misuse, impact, or water ingress after collection.
This workmanship assurance does not apply to refinishing or cosmetic services, where results depend in part on the condition of materials supplied. We will advise on expected outcomes before cosmetic work begins.
9. Intellectual Property
All text, photographs, illustrations, and design elements on this website are the property of Horologion or are used with permission. You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute any content from this website for commercial purposes without our prior written agreement. Sharing links to this website is welcomed.
10. Third-Party Links
This website may include links to external resources for reference. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content of third-party sites. Visiting an external link is at your own discretion.
11. Privacy
The collection and use of personal data through this website and at our atelier is described in our Privacy Policy. By submitting an enquiry or bringing a piece for service, you agree to the handling of your data as described in that policy.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from your use of this website or from a service arrangement with Horologion will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The date shown at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. If you use this website or bring a piece for service after a revision, you do so under the revised terms. For significant changes we will display a notice on the homepage.
