What You Get With Horologion
Clear work, documented findings, and a piece returned in better condition than it arrived. Here's what that looks like in practice.
Back to HomeSix Reasons Clients Return
Written Service Notes
You receive a written record of everything inspected and replaced. Not a verbal summary — a document you take away with the watch.
Timing Machine Readings
Every mechanical service includes before-and-after amplitude and beat rate readings, so you can see precisely what changed during the work.
Ultrasonic Component Cleaning
Disassembled parts are cleaned ultrasonically before relubricating — removing old oil residue that manual cleaning often misses.
Approval Before Extra Work
If we find something during inspection that wasn't in the original brief, we contact you first. Nothing additional proceeds without your sign-off.
In-House Strap Catalogue
Replacement straps and sizing are handled from our own stock, so cosmetic work often completes within the same session rather than waiting for external parts.
Walk-In Access
Our Sukhumvit Soi 31 atelier accepts walk-ins during workshop hours. Bring your piece and we'll assess it on the day, at no charge for the initial consultation.
Hands-On Experience Across Calibre Types
Our lead watchmaker has worked on movements across the spectrum — from mass-produced quartz pieces to hand-wound vintage calibres with no modern parts supply. That range matters when assessing what an unfamiliar or unusual piece actually needs.
Mechanical watches, in particular, benefit from a technician who has encountered the same calibre before. Familiarity with movement architecture means fewer assumptions and more accurate diagnoses.
- Quartz movements of any brand tier
- Automatic and hand-wound mechanical calibres
- Vintage pieces with limited parts availability
- Chronographs and date complications
- In-house strap fitting for most lug widths
- Ultrasonic cleaning bath for component parts
- Electronic timing machine for rate measurement
- Watchmaker's loupe and inspection microscope
- Precision lubrication tools for movement points
- Proper movement holders to prevent case damage
The Right Equipment for the Work
Watchmaking tools are specific. Using substitutes — the wrong lubricants, improvised holders, or cleaning methods that work for other small parts but not movement jewels — causes damage that only shows up months later as wear or inaccuracy.
Our workshop runs the equipment that the work requires: ultrasonic cleaning for disassembled movement parts, a timing machine for rate measurement before and after regulation, and a proper range of lubricants matched to the components being reassembled.
Communication That Doesn't Leave You Guessing
We tell you what we find during inspection before we start work. If what we find changes the scope or the cost, we contact you first. When your watch is ready, we confirm collection by phone or message.
Walk-in assessments are at no charge. If you'd prefer to write ahead and describe the piece, we'll give you an initial scope estimate and turnaround before you bring it in.
- Free walk-in assessment, no appointment needed
- Scope and cost confirmed before work begins
- Client contacted if additional work is found
- Collection confirmed by phone or message
- Receipt on drop-off, written note on collection

What We Don't Compromise On
Nothing Without Consent
We do not replace parts speculatively. If we find a worn component, we note it, discuss it, and let you decide. Watchmakers who replace everything they can find inflate costs and remove parts that might otherwise last years longer.
Verified Accuracy Before Return
Every mechanical piece is tested on a timing machine before collection. We don't release a watch until we've confirmed it's running within an acceptable range — and the reading is documented.
Vintage Piece Awareness
Older watches carry risks that modern pieces don't: brittle gaskets, obsolete lubricant residues, discontinued parts. We assess these considerations before starting and discuss them openly with you.
A Small Atelier by Choice
We have kept Horologion deliberately small. That means the person you speak to at the counter is involved in the actual service — not passing your piece along an impersonal conveyor of different hands.
